What are your business hours?

We are open Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM and closed on the weekends.

When is the best time to submit a potability sample to the lab?

It is preferable for us if you can bring us your potability samples earlier in the week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday morning). If you bring us your samples on Thursday afternoon or Friday, we will still process your samples but they may be subject to a surcharge.

Why is there a surcharge when dropping off a potability sample on Thursday afternoon or Friday?

The surcharge applies only to microbiological samples (TC,EC,GBP, HPC). Potability testing requires a 24 hour incubation time and this requires an analyst to come in on the weekend to finish the analysis. Samples that require HPC testing and brought on Thursday will also be surcharged because the HPC analysis requires 48 hours to complete.

How fast will I get my lab results?

Potability results are usually ready by the next business, also depending when samples arrive at the lab. Other analyses should be ready within 7 business days. For a premium, some analyses may be rushed, please indicate on chain-of-custody form or contact the lab.

Can I take samples using my own containers?

Laboratory prepared containers should always be used when sampling.
